19th Annual AHSIE Best Practices Conference

The 19th Annual AHSIE Best Practices Conference invites practitioners, educators, students, and leaders from emerging and designated Hispanic-Serving Institutions to share the practices, strategies, research, and experiences shaping the future of HSIs.
We welcome proposals that demonstrate how institutions and individuals are advancing student success, strengthening institutional capacity, building community, and creating meaningful change.
We Invite Proposals That:
Advance equitable and identity-affirming practices in higher education.
Center student experiences, knowledge, strengths, and voices.
Demonstrate innovative approaches to servingness and student success.
Share strategies for developing, implementing, scaling, and sustaining HSI initiatives.
Explore institutional practices that foster belonging, dignity, and educational equity.
Highlight successful partnerships and collaborations.
Provide practical tools, frameworks, and strategies that practitioners can take back to their campuses.
Reflect the courage, care, and intentionality required to create meaningful institutional change.
Call for Proposals Systems
Main Call for Proposals System
The Alliance of Hispanic-Serving Institution Educators (AHSIE) invites proposals for the 19th Annual AHSIE Best Practices Conference. The conference will take place March 7–10, 2027, in Seattle, Washington, at the Hyatt Regency Seattle. All conference programming will be held in person.
Student Call for Proposals System
As in previous years, we are offering the opportunity for undergraduate/graduate students to present alongside conference speakers. We invite students to submit interactive and engaging proposals under the track, “For Students, By Students”.
Call for Affinity Groups
Affinity Group Sessions at AHSIE provide space for attendees to build meaningful connections with others who share similar interests, backgrounds, identities, or lived experiences.
Following the success of this offering in 2026, we are pleased to continue inviting attendees to propose and host their own Affinity Group Sessions at the 2027 AHSIE Conference. These informal, participant-driven gatherings create opportunities for dialogue, networking, community building, and a strong sense of belonging among AHSIE attendees.
